College Display Pieces
1893 University of Pennsylvania Color Lithograph entitled "A Touchdown for Pennsylvania in its original frame.  This framed lithograph features vibrant colors, showing a young child in Penn colors, resting upon a huge melon shaped football.  The lithograph resides in its original dark walnut frame measuring 18.5 inches square.  The lithograph has a November 5 1893 copyright date and was produced by the Philadelphia Inquirer.  Beautiful early University of Pennsylvania football display. $750.00	Spectacular Circa 1900 Ohio State University Large Fringed Leather School Crest Tapestry in a custom archival quality professional frame.  This beautiful OSU relic is housed in a professional frame measuring 39 inches wide by 25 inches tall, and the leather is atop an attractive red mat.  At the center of the leather is a leather Ohio State University school crest.  On the outer red leather ring is text that reads Ohio State University, Columbus Ohio.  This text dates the crest to before 1914, at which time the Ohio next to Columbus was dropped from the crest.  Inside this outer leather circle is a red leather pyramid, with text reading: Letters, Science, Arts, Agriculture, Knowledge.  Below this pyramid is the year 1870 (the year this crest was adopted).  These college leathers are exceedingly rare, and this beautiful Ohio State University example would be a great addition to any OSU collection. $700.00	Beautiful Yale University F. Earl Christy Lithography Silk Football Display Piece.  This attractive F. Earl Christy pieces features a football player wearing a union suit and a female fan weaving a Yale flag, perched atop a large melon style football.  The silk has a couple areas of silk loss along its top and bottom edges, but the framing atop a similar toned tan matt makes this mild damage barely noticeable.  The piece has been professionally archivally framed with a Yale toned blue matt and black custom frame.  The frame measures 29 inches wide by 27 inches tall.  Just a fantastic looking piece of Yale or football memorabilia.  INV#1240 $700.00
Circa 1910 Collection of Brown University Football Memorabilia housed in a period tryptic style frame.  This outstanding display features 7 circa 1910 Brown items, including a Brown Football Player Large S21 silk, a B33 college athlete series Brown Fencing blanket, a Brown versus Yale football scoresheet, and 4 other pieces of Brown memorabilia.  The display is housed in a period tryptic style oak frame that measures 29 inches wide by 12 inches tall.  A fantastic early Brown University display. $300.00	Beautiful Circa 1910 University of Chicago Silk Embroidered Pillow Case Wall Hanging.  This fantastic looking Chicago piece is housed in a very attractive frame which measures 21 inches wide by 22 inches tall.  The piece features a well dressed Chicago female fan, complete with a pennant on a cane, and a football laying at her feet.  A fantastic looking piece of early University of Chicago memorabilia.  $400.00	Outstanding 1926 Brown University versus Bates College Football Broadside, matted and ready for framing.  This broadside is matted to a 26 by 18 inch dimension, with the visible portion of the broadside measuring 21 by 13 inches.  The broadside does have some condition issues including mild discoloration and mild tears, which all generally do due to their being hung outdoors during their initial usage as advertising.  A fantastic early piece of Brown and Bates football memorabilia. $250.00
Beautiful Yale University F. Earl Christy Linen Pillow Cover Framed with 3 period Yale items.  This attractive display is housed in a modern frame measuring 27 by 30 inches, with the pillowcase measuring 21 by 21 inches.  The centerpiece in the display is a phenomenal F. Early Christy chromolithographic linen Yale pillow cover, features a Gibson girl posing in front of a large Y, and waving a Yale pennant.  Displayed next to the pillow cover under attractive blue matting are 2 period Yale postcards (I believe they are post cards but I have not taken apart the frame to inspect them) and a Yale leather premium.  Just a beautiful early Yale University display. $500.00	Very Large 1914 Fatima Unite States Naval Academy - Navy Fringed Tobacco Premium Blanket/Rug.  This large piece features a goat mascot, the academy seal, and a Navy flag.  Sports and tobacco premium collectors refer to this piece as a B32 Type 2 felt.  The blanket has some mild fading and discoloration, but is in overall nice condition.  The blanket measures 26 inches wide by 14 inches tall.  A neat antique Navy piece. $200.00	Circa 1910 Framed Tome School Football Print.  This attractive print is housed in a modern professional frame measuring 23 inches tall by just under 16 inches wide.  The Tome School is a private school in Cecil County, Maryland.  The print features a Tome football player in a lace-up style union suit, holding a bulbous melon football.  The print features great color, and is a fantastic looking early football piece. Great 1904 University of Pennsylvania Photographic Calendar.  This great calendar features assorted campus and athletic team images, including the varsity football team and baseball teams.  The team image of the football team features 4 college hall of famers, including Bill Hollenback, who went on to play professional football with the Union Quakers in Philadelphia.   It is in very nice condition with a minor chipping of the lower right area of the cover, and it measures 11 inches wide by 9 inches tall. $225.00	Beautiful 1908 Virginia Tech / Virginia Polytechnic Institute Athletics Photographic Calendar.  This great calendar features images of the varsity football team, each class football team, the baseball team, and much more.  The calendar is in beautiful condition with clean and crisp pages, with no tearing.  It measures just under 13 inches wide by 10 inches tall, and retains its original binding string.  A great piece of antique VPI / Virginia Tech ephemera. $400.00	Very attractive 1930 Kansas University Football themed calendar.  This calendar features a composite image of the 1930 Kansas U football team inside a large football, and has great colors.  The calendar is in beautiful condition, and has been archivally housed in shrink wrap to protect it (it could easily be removed).  It measures 12 inches wide by 9 inches tall, and is a great piece of vintage Kansas football ephemera. $250.00
Very attractive 1920 Culver Military Academy Football Photographic Calendar.  This great looking calendar features team images as well as an action scene for a game with Lake Forest.  The calendar measures 20 inches wide by 9 inches tall, and has been archivally shrink wrapped to protected (easily removed if so wished).  A great vintage piece of Culver football ephemera. $150.00	Circa 1910 Hahnemann Medical College F. Earl Christy Girl Framed print.  This attractive HMC display is housed in its original frame measuring 13 by 9 inches. Beautiful 1911 Very Large Columbia University Framed Football Print.  This attractive Columbia display is framed in a high quality modern frame with double matting, with the dimensions 31 inches tall by 16 inches wide.  The print features a girl wearing Columbia blue, in the center of an early style melon football, with a Columbia pennant waving from a cane above the football.  The print features the signature of Frank J. Murck, and has a 1911 copyright date.  Framed below the print is a Columbia pennant silk.  Just a beautiful early Columbia University display. Very Large Framed 1914 Fatima University of Minnesota Fringed Tobacco Premium Blanket/Rug.  This large piece features a gopher holding up a University of Minnesota pennant next to the Minnesota college seal.  Sports and tobacco premium collectors refer to this piece as a B32 Type 2 felt.  The blanket is in beautiful condition and has vibrant colors.  It is housed in an attractive dark wood frame with a golden yellow background, with the frame measuring 32 by 17 inches.  Great looking antique University of Minnesota piece. Circa 1910 Jefferson Medical College F. Earl Christy Girl Framed print.  This attractive JMC display is housed in its original frame measuring 16.5 by 10.5 inches.  While the print does not contain a visible Christy signature, it bears the unmistakable look of Christy's work, and his signature may be hidden under the frame.  The print features great colors, with a well dressed woman waiving a Jefferson Medical College pennant. Attractive 1910 Randolph-Macon College Football Girl Framed Print.  This attractive print resides in its original frame, which measures 24 by 15.5 inches.  The print features a young female clad in a Randolph-Macon turtleneck sweater carrying a melon-shaped football underarm.  Also on the print is a ribboned Randolph-Macon school seal.  The print features the signature of Marguerite Beaman Neale, with the date 1910.  Beautiful early Randolph Macon football display.
